INTEGRAL NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE
Naturopathy is a holistic system of medicine that integrates Western diagnostics with natural therapeutics (herbology, homeopathy, nutrition, counseling, manual therapies, hydrotherapy) to provide a comprehensive approach to health care.Integral naturopathy recognizes the role of consciousness in healing and offers self-inquiry and mentoring astools to enhance mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Naturopathic physicians assess a person as a whole, taking into consideration physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the individual.Integral naturopathic medicine expands the definition of holism to include social, professional, cultural, environmental, economic, ecological, and political dimensions of personal and community life as factors affecting overall health. Natural therapeutics stimulate the innate ability of body, mind, and spirit to self-integrate, self-heal, and self-regulate, leading to optimal health.Lifestyle guidance and access to services and information allow people to create communities where all members enjoy optimal integral health. At HeartSong, wisdom and therapies from a variety of naturopathic traditions, ancient and modern, are integrated to create a comprehensive, effective, and innovative approach to natural medicine.

Ancient and Modern American Naturopathy
Originating in the traditions of 'nature cure', vitalism, and homeopathy, American naturopathy unites a variety of natural therapeutics -- clinical nutrition (food as medicine), orthmolecular nutrition (vitamins, minerals, pharmaceutical doses of nutrients), hydrotherapy (water therapies), homeopathy, physical medicine (manaul therapies) -- with Western diagnostics, an allopathic pharmacological formulary, and collaboration with medical specialists, to provide a complete approach to primary medical care.

Originating in India, Ayurveda offers a science of life that relies upon a unique system of psychobioenergetic diagnosis to individualize natural therapeutics (herbology, nutrition, manual therapies, detoxification, yoga postures, breathwork, energy balancing, sound healing) to heal physical, mental, and spiritual imbalances and enhance longevity.

Sister to Ayurveda, yoga invites the "union" of body with mind and the individual spirit with the divine. Grounded in a sophisticated philosophy and a psychology about how to live life in a balanced way in order to fulfill ones highest potential, yogic practices are designed to expand consciousness and awaken a connection to the sacred through an active exploration of physical sensation and mental awareness using breath, guided and spontaneous movement, body posturing, meditation, ritual, and chant.

Acting deeply on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels, classical homeopathy rebalances and restores optimal function using energetically potentized remedies to gently stimulate the innate healing ability of body.Selection of remedies made from natural substances is based upon a highly individualized and well documented system of case analysis and interpretation.

Biological medicine combines ancient wisdom from European homeopathy and homotoxicology, anthroposophical medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and Ayurveda, with modern natural therapeutics to improve an individuals capacity to adapt, self-regulate and regenerate in a constantly changing environment.

Functional medicine intervenes at multiple genetic and epigenetic levels to restore metabolic integrity and vitality using orthomolecular (food, vitamin, mineral supplementation) nutrition and lifestyle guidelines.
Polymorphic Clinical Medicine
Bloodtype and Genetic Polymorphic Clinical Medicine relies upon blood type and other genetic polymorphisms to develop protocol which address biochemical individuality.

The Enneagram is an individualized psychospiritual approach to personality that allows people to develop and deepen self-awareness and self-analysis skills as tools to enhance their ability to fully integrate human experience on multiple levels -- physical, mental, emotional, ecological, and spiritual.

A wide range of clinical, laboratory, and physical diagnostics are used to identify imbalances which predispose an individual to particular health problems, and treatment plans include protocol to promote overall health and longevity, in addition to helping resolve current health issues.
THERAPIES: Ancient and Modern

Craniosacral therapy releases restrictions in membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord to allow improved flow of the fluid protecting and lubricating these organs. Interacting with allphysiological systems, the free and rhythmic movement of cerebrospinal fluid promotes healing on multiple levels physical, mental, emotional, spiritual.

Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy integrates nondirective dialogue and self-reflection with yogic practices to help people digest life experiences fully and heal from trauma.

Originating in India, marma therapy involves the manual stimulation of marma - junction points in the body between consciousness and matter -- to restore balance between physical matter (the body) and subtle energy (consciousness).

Different systems of soft tissue manipulation promote health and wellness by relaxing muscles, relieving pain, stimulating blood and lymphatic circulation, improving toxin elimination, increasing range of motion, releasing constrictions in the body, and realigning tissue (muscles, fascia, ligaments, tendons).

Originating in Japan, shiatsu ("finger pressure") is a form of therapeutic massage that uses gentle pressure to stimulate the flow of energy (chi) through channels (meridians) in the body.
