The Offices of Dr. Sal
Our professionally designed offices and state-of-the-art equipment help us to provide you with the highest standard of care in an efficient, pleasing and comfortable atmosphere. Office and diagnostic procedures are integrated by means of a very sophisticated computer system that greatly enhances the services we provide. Each of the offices is handicapped accessible. Our office also accepts all insurances, as well as New Hampshire and Vermont Medicaid and Vermont Dr. Dynasaur.

Dr. Sal and his staff are dedicated to excellence and caring in the correction of orthodontic problems in people of all ages-children, teenagers and adults. In addition, we actively treat temporomandibular joint problems (TMJ).
While the most apparent result of successful specialized orthodontic care is straight teeth, it's not our only concern. We're dedicated to a holistic approach to health care, a concern for your complete health and well being.

The "Right Age" For Orthodontics
New treatment techniques provide significant benefits for patients of all ages. An orthodontic examination and detection of prospective problems early in life, at the age of 6 or 7, before the eruption of permanent teeth, allows treatment to begin soon enough to take advantage of a child's growth. Early limited treatment is typically less expensive, avoids most tooth extraction and produces more stable results. In essence, problems are corrected during the primary growth period, as opposed to correcting problems once they have established themselves.
Full orthodontic treatment with braces is most commonly initiated after most of the permanent teeth are in place. These teeth can be moved to their proper positions and facial skeletal growth can be encouraged or inhibited.
Although people think of the child as the typical orthodontic patient, adults account for more than 30 percent of all Dr. Sal's patients. The Next Step
If, from the results of the initial examination, the need for a more comprehensive and in-depth evaluation is indicated, the next step would be to have diagnostic records taken. This will help the doctors evaluate existing and potential problems and determine the best options for treatment. These records include necessary orthodontic and dento-facial orthopedic radiographs (x-rays), diagnostic dental casts with functional bite registration and diagnostic dental and facial photographs.
After careful analysis of the diagnostic records, we will arrange a treatment consultation and thoroughly discuss your orthodontic needs and treatment options. Any questions or concerns you may have will be addressed.

We believe that cost should not be the barrier when you seek the highest quality, professional orthodontic care. After all, the benefits of treatment will last a lifetime. One really cannot put a price on your future health, comfort, appearance, happiness and success. That's why we've worked hard to eliminate any potential barriers to treatment.
The fees for orthodontic treatment vary according to the complexity of the case. An estimate of you or your child's individual treatment cost will be clearly explained and financial options discussed at your first visit, prior to the initiation of treatment. There are various payment options available and we want to make sure that the orthodontic care we provide is comfortably affordable. Our office also accepts Visa and MasterCard.

Since all insurance contracts differ, it is our policy to make arrangements with you for the collection of your account, rather than with your insurance company. As a courtesy to you, we will assist you in completing all necessary insurance forms. If you have any questions, please feel free to call our office anytime.

We understand that most people seeking orthodontic treatment have other important obligations during the day. We've devoted much time and effort to design a schedule that is convenient for you. We will work with you to schedule around your school or work schedule as much as possible. Our sophisticated computer scheduling system minimizes waiting time and improves our efficiency and flexibility.
Longer appointments, which are few in number, are scheduled during school/work hours and shorter appointments are scheduled either before or after school/work. In this way, an entire afternoon is not committed to one or two patients, but scheduled to accommodate as many families as possible.

We reserve time daily to allow us to see emergency patients promptly. Contact the office as soon as possible so we can evaluate the urgency of the problem and schedule you accordingly. Your comfort is our number one concern. Should you have an after-hours emergency, please call our office immediately and the answering machine will give you Dr. Sal's home telephone number. One of the doctors is always on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. You will never see someone else who is not your doctor and who is unfamiliar with your orthodontic treatment needs.

Your orthodontic team is carefully selected to ensure that their skill and dedication to your orthodontic care conforms to our high standards. You can place your trust in us because we are experts. Each staff member has years of experience, but staying on the leading edge of technology requires more than experience, it demands continuing education. Because a patient's health, appearance, and well-being are of utmost importance, our staff regularly participates in advanced orthodontic training.
