The Current's mission is to provide coordination among public transit, human service providers, community volunteers, employers, and the traveling public to create a seamless and integrated public transit system that will serve the public, support the economy, benefit the environment and provide connectivity in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Connecticut River Transit (CRT), now doing business as The Current (CurRenT -- still CRT!), was established in 2003 as the private non-profit public transit provider for Southeastern Vermont. Your contributions make sure The Current can utilize state and federal funds for the transit program to provide 200,000 trips, and, channel over $3 million into the local economy annually.
