Medical& surgical treatment of fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and menstrual problems
Minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomies & robotic-assisted surgeries

Cheryl A. Gibson, MD, FACOG– Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. Special interest and expertise in complex contraceptive problems and menopause. Dr Gibson has practiced for over 20 years andteaches in the OB/GYN Department at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. She has hospital privileges at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont. Additionally, she is theMedical Director of Planned Parenthood of northern New England.
Kym Boyman, MD, FACOG–Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist. Special interests and expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and the medical and surgical management of complex gynecological problems, including menstrual problems and fibroids. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine, where she hasreceived awards for teaching and for humanism in medicine. She has hospital privileges at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont.
Susan F. Smith, MD, FACOG– Board Certified Gynecologist. Special interests and expertise in evaluation and treatment of abnormal pap smears, menopause, and pediatric and adolescent gynecology. Dr. Smith has been in practice more than 25 years. She is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and has hospital privileges at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, Vermont.
Cate Nicholas, EdD, MS, PA, providing care since 1981, specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal pap smears. Cate is a Physicians Assistant with an M.S.in Medical Technology and aPh.D. in Education. She is affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine and is an Assistant Clinical Professor, as well as the Director of the Standardized Patient Program.
Joni Hiltner, RN, has 30 years experience and a passion for womens health care. She joined the VWC team in 2000.

Our receptionist will ask you questions so we can schedule the appropriate amount of time for your care.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete any paperwork.
If you are new to our practice, you are welcome to print out and complete your paperwork prior to your appointment (Initial Intake Form). You can send it to vtwc@ppnne.org, or bring it in to your appointment.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, kindly call the office at least 24 hours in advance to cancel.
Should you have a problem or question, we welcome and encourage you to call our office. During office hours, a nurse is available to answer questions and call in medication refills authorized by your provider. At night and on weekends, we are available for urgent clinical concerns.
