Ms. Torino received her B.A. from Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences. She received her J.D. from Boston College Law School. She was admitted to the Vermont Bar in 1981. She is also a member of the Federal Bar, admitted to the District of Vermont.
Ms. Torino was a prosecutor in the Franklin County State's Attorney's Office, St. Albans, Vermont, for almost six years. She was State's Attorney in that office for three of those years, and the chief prosecutor for the County during that time. She has been in private practice since 1987. She has extensive trial experience.
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY AFFILIATIONS
Ms. Torino is currently a member of the Vermont Bar Association. She served for 5 years on the Vermont Board of Bar Examiners, which oversees the admission of new attorneys. She is a past member of the Vermont Victims Compensation Board, which administers funds to compensate the victims of crime.
Ms. Torino is also a former member of the Colchester-Milton Rotary Club, and a past Colchester representative to the Winooski Valley Park District.
